Traditional and timeless, take our Alem Striped Towel with you to the surf, for a picnic or fashion as a sarong. Woven by hand from 100% Ethiopian cotton, these towels become softer, fluffier and more absorbent with every wash.

Dyed in small batches using an environmentally-friendly process and fringed by hand, each towel is one of a kind and takes roughly two days to make.

This piece was crafted with care by our skilled artisans in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, using natural, hand-loomed materials. We have worked with this women-led studio for seven years. A World Fair Trade Organization, their workforce is more than 60% female. Pioneering sustainability in Africa, they are STeP certified by OEKO-TEX and are dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich weaving tradition of Ethiopia.
